The Canadian National Exhibition returns to Toronto from August 17 to September 3, the last gasp of summer before school starts. This year the Ontario Library Association has partnered with the CNE to present an exhibit of Canadian illustrators' work from books nominated for the Blue Spruce Reading Program which is celebrating its 10th year anniversary. You'll see works by Bill Slavin, Sean Cassidy, Wallace Edwards, Chrissie Wysotski, Barbara Reid, Bruno St-Aubin, Stéphane Jorisch, Jeremy Tankard, Ashley Spires, and Rachel Berman among others. And you're invited!
